Home run night in the Bronx

Last night the Yankees battled with the Tigers in the third game of this four game series. The Yankees sent D. Moseley to the mound, he is currently 3-2. Last night he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits 2 walks and striking out 2 batters in 5.0 innings of work, he threw 84 pitches before being ejected for hitting M. Cabrera  of the Tigers.

In the bottom of the first Brett Gardner lead off the game and was deliberately throw at and was hit. The home plate umpire gave a warning to each bench. After Derek Jeter batted ( he went 0-4)  Brett Gardner tried to steal but Mark Teixeira hit a 2 run bomb into the second deck in right field. Robinson Cano was the next batter he hit a solo shot into the right feild bleachers the Yankees went back-to-back home runs. Through 1 inning the Yankees lead it 3-0. In the top of the second inning M. Cabrera hit a solo shot to left field, Yankees lead 3-1. In the Fourth M.Cabrera went deep again this time to right field. In his next at bat he was hit and Moseley was tossed from the game. In the bottom of the 4th Ramerio Pena hit a triple to deep right center scoring Austin Kerns. Then Mark Teixeria was safe at first on error by first baseman M. Cabrera Brett Gardner advanced and scored of the error snd Mark Teixeira advanced to second on throwing error by the second baseman. The Yankees lead 6-2. in the 5th Curtis Granderson Homered to righ the Yankees lead is 7-3. Austin Kerns hit a ground rule double to deep left center scoring Teixeiera and Gardner. Yankees win 9-5.
