Friday, March 4th the New York Yankees battled the Boston Red Sox. Even though it was spring training the competitive nature of the two teams was outstanding. The Red Sox sent their talented right hander Clay Buchholz (Left). The Yankees sent Bartolo Colon a right hander (right) he pitched well and was in a pitchers dual with Buchholz threw 6 innings when the Red Sox scored to take a 1-0 lead. The Yankees tied it in the bottom half of the 6th on a Robinson Cano double to bring in Mark Texeira. The Red Sox ended up winning 4-2.
Saturday, March 5th the Yankees hosted the Washington Nationals. The Yankees sent C.C Sabathia to the hill. Sabathia did not pitch well allowing 5 runs through 3 innings of work. The Nats. ended up taking a 7-0 lead of the the Yankees in the 5th. New York had an 8 run bottom of the 5th that took the lead. They ended up losing 10-8.

Monday, March 7th. The Yankees hosted the Philadelphia Phillies, the Yankees jumped out to a 7-0 lead behind the beautiful work of A.J Burnett (left). The Yankees scored on a three run home run by Edwdardo Nunez, a 2 run home run by Curtis Granderson and a few hits along the way. I have to say this I got a chance to talk a bit with Nick Swisher before he took batting practice and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He loves being a Yankee and will do anything for the fans exept sign autographs. If you ask him to pose for a picture or take a picture with you he will do it imeditatly.
